As a student living in University accommodation you can choose to donate £2 per term when you pay your bill and help us tackle homelessness.

The Give As You Rent Appeal is run by the University of Sheffield and the Union of Students to support local organisations working with the homeless, vulnerable and displaced in our city.  The scheme has been running successfully since 1991. In total the students have raised, and subsequently given away, over £300,000.

How the scheme works: The students in University accommodation can opt to pay £6 per year as part of their accommodation payment, which goes directly to the appeal. Funding Applications made to the appeal are considered by a committee of students who then decide the benefiting organisations and the size of the donation.

Give As You Rent Applications are currently OPEN. Applications
deadline is 5pm on the 24th February 2012. Application forms and
guidelines are now available to download. We have updated our
information so please read before submitting your application. Please

You can also apply to Sheffield RAG. Last year students raised and
